She woke me up with the strangest sound I’ve ever heard her make. It was a cross between a cry, howl, and screech. I woke up and rolled over and while I’m doing that I saw a man standing at my dresser. The moment I awoke the cat stopped her strange cry. He had his back to me going through my jewelry and when the cat made her weird cry, he froze. By the time he turned to see if I was awake, the eye farthest from the pillow was closed and the one closest to the pillow was open a slit watching him. He thought I was asleep and quietly sneaked out of the apartment. He may have thought I was still asleep but the cat knew I was awake.
