Grey’s anatomy casts thank you for the memories shirt was already in bad shape before Derek was killed off. I was a fan of the first several seasons and still watch the show, but it’s been getting worse for a bunch of reasons. This is to be expected from an aging show, but given how long ago many of the main characters left, it feels like Grey’s Anatomy is past its expiration date by now. The new characters get a decent amount of screen time, but they’re still ancillary they’re rarely given the most central or interesting storylines. This, in turn, makes me not want them to have the most central or interesting storylines, so it’s a cyclical problem. I liked the show better when the main characters were the underdogs, just starting out in a grueling residency program and getting beaten down by the attending physicians. Once they got married, started having kids, entered into long-term relationships.
