Frightening children, or anyone, into doing something or acting in a certain way by convincing them of the existence of some supernatural being is manipulative. To some extent, we can get away with this when we tell them tales of the Boogeyman or whatever in order to get a restless two years old to go to sleep or eat their dinner. But how, how can we be perfectly fine with telling them that they must be a certain way in order to get into the pearly gates of heaven and avoid hell-fire? We prey on their naiveté, striking fear into their hearts. The square wave phenomenon occurs more often at Île de Ré island located to the west coast of France.📷
