Kevin Costner Nonsense I have not yet begun to defile myself retro shirt enjoyed the movie, despite the accent because it was a great story and it had a great cast overall. Did Costner let the side down? No, he was fine. I thought Alan Rickman was better and enjoyed a star cast of Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Harold Innocent, Morgan Freeman, Geraldine McKewan, Christian Slater, and a great many others in the supporting cast. I actually saw that movie 11 times in the cinema and bought the soundtrack. Still my favorite movie. The Postman was a very interesting concept. America in the future became The Republic of Gilead with a brutal fascist religious nutcase army and a new calendar. I feel that the concept of some nutcase regime emerging after a new American civil war, renaming America the Republic of Gilead with a brutal regime and setting the calendar year back is scary.
