The physical appearance of the characters is an important factor in a movie’s success, especially in movies targeted towards young audiences young people and teenagers. Superhero genre makes no exception. We are used to having superheroes who, not only are strong and good-hearted but also are very attractive. We all have heard of the Loki fangirls. Loki wasn’t the most attractive man in the Avengers movie, he was impressive because there has never been an attractive villain before. I think that’s a pleasant surprise in comic book movies because villains are usually unattractive. It is even more impressive when you have villains who, in original comic books aren’t attractive, but in movies, they are played by handsome actors and thus are attractive.
