Sandlot summer shirt made me feel a little uneasy then. As a young kid, I wasn’t an SJW in the least bit, and I don’t claim to be one now, but it seems like a pretty insensitive comment. In the context of when the movie takes the palace, I could see how people wouldn’t think twice about those comments, but in the ’90s, and especially now, there isn’t a lot of room for that kind of insinuations. We realize that the vastly inferior arm strength of women makes it virtually impossible for her to be competitive with men of her age after puberty, but it is not a comment that’s really worth making. There are many benefits that kids get from the competition. Putting them on level playing fields helps everybody. Trying to make a guy feel bad by saying that he has characteristic traits of a women doesn’t send the right message in my opinion.
